Please keep Andrea in your thoughts and prayers. She is scheduled to have surgery on Thursday and could use some peace in her heart. May God wrap his loving arms around her and allow peace to settle within her.

Andrea,
You are in my thoughts and prayers daily. I hope your surgery has gone well and you can feel the power of prayer flowing your way.
Peace & Blessings,
Nancy Huddlestun
Andrea,
I know you had surgery today and you will be in our prayers. My daughter, Makenzie, is a friend of Ashleys. The girls always have so much fun together, sometimes too much fun!!! I saw Ashley leaving school yesterday and she looked as beautiful as ever walking through the parking lot with her friends. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers and pray for a fast recovery from your surgery and that you will be with your kiddos soon.
I love the picture of your family on the website! Also, thank you for your words of advice to not take time with family for granted. You are inspiring us all to be better people and better parents. love to you, Carol Elder
Andrea,
You are in our prayers today as you are everyday. May your surgery go well and may you be freed from your pain. You are a wonderful person and such a role model for your kids. May God wrap His arms around you and give you peace.
Love,
The Dubberts
Andrea – You don’t know me, but I’ve been praying for you for a long time. I’m a former Ascension member (CRHP team 4, now at St. Michael’s) and also a cancer survivor with young kids. Your familiy has been through so much, and yet you are a model to all of us of living in great faith. I pray that God will heal you and take this physical burden from you. But mostly, I pray that God will bring you peace, and hold you in the palm of His hand during this difficult time. I know for me the scariest part about cancer was the impact I worried it had on my children. My radiation oncologist once gave me some very good advice that I held on to and still do today. I’ll close by sharing it with you, and hope it brings you the same peace it brought me.

You need not explain anything to me about fear or momentary lapses in faith or selfishness. Nor should you aplologize for those feelings. Each of those feelings is part of the growth process. Every time you get scared, then remind yourself that God’s plan is unfolding to perfection right before your eyes, your faith is strengthened and becomes a bit more ‘second nature’. When you get angry because you lack insight into why this is happening and because it’s ‘not fair’, you are eventually forced to accept the fact that we, as humans, ultimately control nothing in this life and that the sooner we submit ourselves to God’s will and simply trust that He is coordinating all these seemingly random events to help us become spiritually mature and Christ-like, the more He blesses us with inner peace and faith.
It’s all so paradoxical in the sense that the more we attempt to control and direct our lives in order to travel the path WE think is best, the more inner turmoil we experience. And when we simply relinquish control to God and say, “OK, I give up, you take over from here”, the more peace and happiness we have.
“Whoever wants to save his own life will lose it in the end, but whoever loses (turns over) his life for my sake will find life (eternal)”.
I have heard it said that the only way we can truly become brothers and sisters of Christ is to share in the same kinds of human suffering He experienced while on Earth, learning to trust in God’s grace and mercy for the strength to endure, and through this process acquiring the spiritual strength/maturity which God expects each of us to develop if we are to become pleasing to Him and to enter heaven one day.
The children He gives to parents like you are gifts, and Christ repeatedly indicates that children have a very special place of favor in God’s eyes. The greatest gift any parent can give to a child is insight into God’s love, through words, actions and example. I pray that you’ll see your grandchildren born and that you’ll have many a Walton-esque Christmas (the old TV series). Whatever happens, your children will be well taken care of because they are yours, and you are His.

I pray the peace of Christ control your heart, mind, soul, and spirit, always, but especially today. I pray He touches you with His healing power. May you physically feel the love and prayers of your family, friends, community, and the communion of saints. You are a gift to so many who know and love you, and to many others you have never met. Let others be strong for you. I ask for special blessings for you and yours.
Andrea,
Please know that we are praying and thinking about you constantly. You have shown great strength. May God wrap His loving arms around you and your family today and bring you peace and His healing power.

Andrea,
You don’t know me, and that is just as well. When I spent a weekend at a CRHP retreat some time ago I learned the humbling power of discovering that people you don’t know are praying for you. So, what’s important now is for you to know that you’re in my prayers for a speedy recovery. May God bless you with a long and happy life.
YBIC,
Jerry
Andrea,

Andrea
Hope everything went as well as your medical team was hoping for today. Team Andrea, (Your ole buds down here in Springfield) is always lifting you up in pray and praying you feel Gods grace in your toughest moments. Thank you for reminding us all that sometimes when we feel too exhausted to carry on at the end of the day in making sure our childrens needs are all taken care of that we should feel blessed to be given the opportunity to care for these precious lives that God has blessed us with. You have three beautiful, adoring children. You must be so proud. Thinking of you daily and wishing you a speedy recovery!! Love and miss you girl !!

Andrea
Our family has been praying for you and your family for some time now. Although we’ve never formally met, it is clear to me what a beautiful daughter of God you are, and it is so natural for all of us to want to continue to lift you, your children and your family up to Our Loving Father. There have been so many sending up prayers for you, I hope and trust that you have felt their power. We ask our Lord to envelope all of you in His graces, love and peace.
Thank you for all that you have done in sharing your journey, your faith and your spirit with our Parish Community. You have planted so many seeds of faith and His love with your spirit, will, trust and love – seeds that are blossoming and bearing fruit. What a blessing you are to so many of us – living as a true disciple -helping so many of us draw closer to Him.
You are in our prayers today and tomorrow and tomorrow…
Your Sister in Christ,
Shannon Gomez
Andrea
We have been praying today, and all days, for you and your family on this journey. Our special prayer tonight will be for peace and comfort after surgery.
The Kramers
Andrea,
My grandmother’s favorite verse was “My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth.” Psalm 121:2 She used to say it over and over during her daily life. Of course, it stuck with me and many years later, I find myself saying it now too. Perhaps you may find some strength from this verse.
We continue to pray for you and your family daily. Peace to all of you.
Joan and Jeff Lipp

I am bringing dinner tomorrow and hope to see your family! I talked to your dad, Mary and Joe at church last week. Jack was just the sweetest thing. You are in our prayers ALWAYS and we send lots of strength and love your way!
Dear Andrea,
Your story has weighed heavy on my heart . I extend the love of Christ to you and pray that you feel his secure, tender embrace around you.
Isaiah 40:11 “God tends his flock like a sheherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young.”
Praise be to God that you have not walked by yourself but
that God has given you inner strength to mother your children as well as persevere through unchartered waters. Recount praises that you’ve been surrounded by family and friends who have prayed for you and provided encouragement, listening ears, help with the children, meals, personal needs and unconditional love.
God’s hand has truly been active in the lives of people who
have prayed and done acts of service for you.
2 Chroninthians 1:3-4 “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.”
Psalm 84: 12 “O lord Almighty, blessed is the man who trusts in you.”
In Christ,
Barbara Hawk (PCOS)
