Andrea cannot even start to express how thankful she is for all the prayers, thoughts, food for her family, watching out for her kids, letters…everything!!!! She has been inundated with a LOT of love. She reads the messages on the blog and all the notes that are sent and they have truely been uplifting. Although she is trying to stay caught up on thank you notes, she is a little behind and feeling bad about it:) so please take this as a formal THANK YOU!!!
An update on Andrea. She is going to be at KU Med for a couple more days trying to figure out a plan for when she gets home. She has a new doctor that she loves (Someone asked if he is hot like the doctor in CA, and I have no idea). The doctors at KU have been great, Monsignor Tom has been a huge comfort to all of them and Andrea is looking forward to being back at home with her kids and family. Andrea has had three surgeries this month, each one has been successful for what they were targeting. Who knows what the future is going to hold, but she is putting it all in Gods hands.
Please continue to pass on stories of things you have seen her kids doing or inspirational stories you hear. Several people have asked me what they can do. Please continue to pray, if you are thinking of her, leave a message on the blog and let her know. All the positive thinking does wonders and she loves hearing what the kids are up to!
Some may know that Andrea’s mom Darlene had breasst cancer 18 years ago. The treatment was very succesful and she has had a clean bill of health ever since then. Darlene’s cancer is back now in the breast. We are sure that everything will turn out well and are sending lots of good thoughts her way. Once we know when she will have surgery, we will post it so you can say some extra prayers for her that day.
On a positive note, Andrea’s brother Joe and sister-in-law Mary are expecting. Currently they have two sons ages 3.5 and 6 and make great playmates for Andrea’s son Jack! Now it is the girls turn to welcome a baby girl! All the women are very excited while Britney and Ashley are thrilled to be able to go shopping soon for lots of new pink items! Andrea better guard the checkbook, we know how fun it is to baby shop for dresses and cute pink clothes!!
There is no way that anyone in the family could remain so positive and keep things going without all the help and prayers they have received. They are humbled by all of it! Please continue to send your prayers their way and pray that a blanket of love and peace cover them all in the weeks ahead.
Andrea,
I took Brittany and my girls to the STA basketball game Tuesday night. They are all a bundle of laughs, I am not sure there was a moment of silence the entire ride there or back. They are so full of fun and excitment for life, I could not help but laugh at them. You should be so proud of your little Brittany, she is so kind and thoughtful. She comes from good stock as my father in law would say. Anyway I am thinking of you all the time and adding your mom and dad to the prayers.
All my love Stephanie xoxo
PS Meg helped me set up a face book last night, I have 12 freinds already. Sarah & Emily said i can not add their friends but Meg wants me to. Anyway I figure if you cant beat them join them. HA-HA
Andrea,
You and your family remain in our prayers everyday. We always pray for a cure, as well as pain relief and peace. We will also include your mother in our prayers. You are such an inspiration!

Andrea, I just finished my first hour in the prayer vigil and finally learned (I think) to pray the rosary. After going through RCIA twice (the first time 25 years ago and finally when Katie was getting her first communion) I was never taught to pray the rosary. Thank goodness for the internet as I felt this was as good of time as any to learn to pray this way along with praying for peace for you and your family. I am sure I made many mistakes but I also think that those will be overlooked. As I held the rosary it brought back memories of the rosary quilts we made and of all the wonderful thoughts and prayers from the children in Ashley and Brittney’s classes. Hopefully those quilts are still bringing all of you some comfort.
What wonderful news about the new baby girl-how exciting! I will also keep your mom in my prayers with her current diagnosis.
I recently read back on some emails we exchanged a while back from my “Andrea” file and as always I am amazed at your strength. You and your family are truely an inspiration for many people. I will continue to keep all of you in my prayers-Carol
Andrea,
I will never go a day without praying for you and your family. I recently met your father and have spent some time talking to him, what a wonderful man he is! You and your mom are in good hands with him! Your dad brought Jack and Kyle to preschool the other day and they are so cute. They both wanted to be “the first one” to find Jack’s lunch placemat. A little pushing and they both won (ha-ha) They both are joys to the world! Many prayers are happening here at Jack’s preschool, you are in every ones thoughts. Andrea you have touched so many people, you are a wonderful person. Your three children are blessed to have such a great MOM!

Andrea,
Your son Jack and my daughter Sophie are in the same preschool class. Not a school day goes by without Sophie talking about Jack! She just loves him. (She even told me how much she liked his eyelashes!) He sounds like such a sweet boy. We will keep you and your family in our thoughts and prayers.

Andrea,
Not sure you would recognize my name….but I met you through Steve and Cyndi. I just wanted to let you know that you and your family are in my prayers every day. I think about you and your strength and courage and it amazes me. You are an inspiration to so many people. I will add your mother to my prayers – I am sure she is a very strong woman as well.
