It is with a huge heart, that I give you this update. This morning, our beautiful Andrea finally went home. Today she took her last breath, and peacefully went to meet our father. I am sure he has his arms open wide welcoming her in to heaven. This moment is hard for the family, but at the same time there is some rejoicing that she is free from her pain, cancer and all of her treatments. She is with her husband once again. She is a special angel that God allowed all of us to know and love and now it is time for him to have her with him once again. She was so giving on earth and now she can bless all of us from heaven.
Andrea and her family will forever be grateful to all of the prayer warriors and friends who have been there along the way. Thank you to all the incredible doctors, nurses, counselors, hospice workers in every facility and state that have comforted her and helped her. She fought a great fight! Thank you to everyone who donated meals, flights, and most of all prayers for peace, some without even knowing her.
Please continue to pray for her children, her brother and sister in law as they watch over her most precious gifts. I know she loved them so much and was so thankful for the time she had with them since moving in her new home. She was always so grateful for their good friends and stated on more than one occasion that they were all blessed with beautiful and giving friends and family.
Please also pray for her parents. I can only imagine what it is like to watch this kind of suffering. Andrea’s mother was with her for almost every treatment, all while fighting her own battle. Andrea was always so loving and grateful when speaking of her mom who was dealing with her own trials and tribulations. Darlene continues to improve daily and it looks like she is going to be just fine and that gave Andrea such peace. As Andrea said in her last email to me just days ago, “One piece of good news makes us happy!” In pure Andrea fashion, she was always putting others first.
Andrea is now with our father. He has a great place ready for her. I remember a homily once given by Father Tom. He was talking about a man who had died and went to heaven. He passed all these glorious houses and mansions and wanted to know where his was. When they got to his house, the man was disappointed because it was not what he expected. The moral to the story is that when you are on earth you are building your heavenly home. This man had not given much on earth or done much for people. I can tell you that is not the case with our dear Andrea. She had given so much to so many with her life. I am sure she will not be disappointed with the “new home” she has- it is surely a mansion built for a saint!
“Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.” John 14: 1-3
A visitation is scheduled for Wednesday morning at Ascension from 8:30-10:00. A mass of celebration will take place starting at 10 am.
Please feel free to leave any messages to the family on here. I know that they have all gotten a lot of peace from everyone’s words.
Until we meet again……God Bless you Andrea! Heather

Two stories from today I want to share with you. I was getting Lauren out of the bathtub and she told me that she was going to miss Andrea- as she had been with me on occasion when we had brought Andrea communion. In the words from a 5 year old she told me that Andrea was in school now. I said what do you mean? She told me that Andrea was in school learning how to use her wings. I said what do you mean? She said she got her angel wings today and now she has to learn how to use them to fly so she can help God. Then she told me that she knew Andrea would be back to talk to us in our dreams because that is what angels do:)
Flash to 3 hours later, I just woke up after falling asleep on the couch. I woke up feeling good and then saddened when I remembered what happened today. As I started to get up to turn the tv off the song I’m All Right by Kenny Loggins started playing. It was stuck on the lyrics I’m All Right, Nobody Worry ‘Bout Me. Yes Lauren angels do visit to tell us everything will be ok.
I loved Andrea and will miss her a lot. As I told you all today, it was my priviledge to get to know her this past two years and help her tell her story through the blog. May God be with all of you through the coming days and comfort your hearts. You will always be in our prayers.

Aunt Sally
To Annie’s whole family-
Andrea was such a special and unique friend to me for so long- really more like a sister. I want to thank all of you for letting me and my girls share in so many memorable “family” moments. I feel blessed to have had such a wonderful friend. We love you Brittany, Ashley, and Jack. You were the brightest lights in your mom’s beautiful brown eyes. We will keep all of you in our constant prayers.
Love,
Melinda, Hannah, and Olivia
I am so sorry for this terrible loss as I do know how hard it is to loose a sister. I can only say that life will be forever changed without her daily spirit, but that I do believe she will live on with you in many ways. I only met Andrea a few times, however each time she was so nice and outgoing and she always made you feel as though she knew you for a long time. I truly believe she is in a better place, at peace and free of all pain; now an angel to all of those lives she touched. My thoughts and prayers have always been with her and her family on this difficult journey. I will continue to pray that God lifts all of you up and pulls you together as you try to heal the deep sorrow which you are feeling.
With deepest sympathy,
Alison King
I would like to thank everyone who took care of my cousin Andrea, both spiritually and medically. I am forever grateful. Andrea was a very special person and I am blessed for having so many years of great memories that we laughed about every time we got together.
Andrea, it is not goodbye, it is, I will see you later.
Forever in my heart, Lynne
I am so sorry for your loss. Your entire family is in my thoughts and prayers. Mya God be with you during this very difficult time.
With all my sympathy- Renee Thomas
We are sorry for Andrea’s family whose loss is great, but we are happy that Andrea is no longer suffering and has died to new life in heaven. You will all remain in our daily prayers.
Our hearts and prayers go out to Andrea’s family and friends. Jack is in my sons pre-school class and although I have never had the blessing to meet Andrea I feel connected to her through motherhood and her dreams and prayers for her children.
Thank you Andrea for reminding me how precious our time is and that quality is always better than quanity.
Brittany, Ashley, and Jack,
We are SOOOO sorry for your loss. Please take comfort in the fact that your mom and dad are together again in Heaven and remember the following:
“They are not dead who live in the lives they leave behind; in those whom they have blessed, they live a life again, and shall live, through the years.”
We are deeply sorry about your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all!
The Mudge Family
Andrea, and the entire Husong and Krizman Family have touched our lives in many ways. We are better people for getting to know Andrea, and we will miss her terribly.
Andrea, Brittany, Ashley, Jack, Joe and Darlene, and Joe and Mary and the boys will remain in our thoughts and prayers.
Our love for Andrea remains, and our love for all your family remains.
